The bamboo pavilions
Inside, every pavilion is a single sculpted room of bamboo, where the ceiling arcs overhead like the ribs of a hull and great circular windows pull the jungle right up to the bed. A round bed sits at the centre on a raised bamboo platform, with a contoured lounger set by the glass and the light shifting through the woven walls as the day turns. It is a room built to be lived in slowly, closer to a treehouse than a hotel.
Beside the river
Each pavilion is built out over the Yeh Poh, so the river runs below the deck all day and its sound carries up through the open walls at night. A curved bamboo bench and a shaded platform look straight into the tree canopy and down to the water, the place for a slow breakfast or an hour with a book. Mornings bring mist off the valley; evenings, the deep quiet of the jungle closing in.
