Everything you need is already there: pots, plates, cutlery, the usual small appliances, enough for seven rooms cooking at once. The one rule is to leave it as you found it, washed and put away, so the next room's dinner starts on a clean counter.
The terrace and the grill
The garden opens onto a terrace with its own outdoor furniture, and a grill you're free to light once evening comes. Bring back whatever you bought that day and cook it outside instead of in the shared kitchen.
The house's quiet hours
Nothing above room volume between ten at night and six in the morning, eight on Sundays, and again over lunch from half twelve to half two. It is written into the house rules, not left to chance, so the room next to yours stays as quiet as yours.
Arriving outside office hours
Check-in opens at three in the afternoon and rooms are held until seven that evening; if your bus or your shift runs later, the pension asks only that you call ahead and arrange it. Checkout is ten the next morning, with the same rule if you need longer.
