The breakfast was excellent. The room was unique and the bed comfortable. There was loud construction going on under our room one afternoon keeping us from sleeping.

This hotel is a actually a mansion from the turn of the century, so there is awesome history here. The staff went above and beyond. And I need to say this: the Breakfast is next level. DO NOT SKIP THE BREAKFAST....

Beautiful historic property. Well maintained. Chef made exceptional food for us. We have so much food allergy and we enjoyed the breakfast. Will stay again if we visit Denver. The staff is very nice and helpful....

Ask for the Prague, on the third floor under a twenty-seven-foot cathedral ceiling of hand-carved wood and wrought iron. The windows face the gold dome of the state capitol, the same view Thomas Patterson kept from his own house. The elevator only reaches the second floor, so the last flight is on foot.
Breakfast, different every day
Breakfast is made to order and never repeats a menu, sweet one morning and savory the next, with any dietary restriction accommodated if you ask ahead. The coffee is poured from Pablo's, a Denver roaster, alongside hot tea and juice.
Piano at Charlie Brown's
One block south is Charlie Brown's Bar & Grill, a neighbourhood bar with a live piano most nights. Go around eight for a full room and a full piano, then walk the block back to the reading room and its stained glass window.
Potager's garden, arrive early
Ten minutes on foot, at the corner of 11th and Ogden, Potager serves from its own kitchen garden with beer and wine only, no mixed drinks. They take no reservations, so arrive a little early and expect to wait for a table in the garden.
