High up, the light turns from afternoon gold to the electric grid of night without you having to move from the bed.
Sushi and champagne
Two floors down, a hinoki counter seats ten for AWA Sushi, where each course is poured a glass from a cellar of more than two hundred Champagnes. The pairing is the whole point of the room: the umami of the fish and the acidity of the wine sharpening one another, piece after piece, deep into a slow Osaka evening.

Dinner at AWA Sushi
The hotel keeps its own counter, AWA Sushi, and its own bar, AWA Lounge, so dinner does not require going back outside. Order the nigiri against whichever pour the counter is running, then take the lift back up to a room where the bath has already been sitting at temperature.
Dotonbori and Amerika-mura on foot
Dotonbori's lit canal and food stalls, and the record shops and murals of Amerika-mura, are both close enough to reach on foot, with the modern buildings lining Midosuji on the way if you take that route. Either walk ends the same way, back up to a floor that is yours alone.
Lallier's dinner, November 20
