The room sits high in the boughs of a Savannah oak, with a fan-cooled balcony that looks down over the garden and pool. Cool mornings even in summer, and the fireplace lit for the colder months.
Breakfast by reservation time
Breakfast is cooked from scratch each morning and seated by reservation time in the formal dining room, so plates come out hot rather than off a buffet. Sweets are set out in the same room all night for anyone still up after dinner elsewhere.
Forsyth Park, a few blocks up
The Forsyth Place room takes its name from the park it faces, a walk of a few blocks up Huntingdon Street past the brick townhouses. Go up in the evening and back to a lit fireplace and a glass of the house sherry.
The pool, April to October
The courtyard pool is unheated and closes from about mid-October to the start of April. Outside that window, the firepit and the courtyard itself still hold the evening.
