High above the rooftops of Sliema, L'Etoile stretches a long swimming pool toward the horizon, edged with loungers and canvas shade. Come morning it is yours for unhurried lengths; by evening the bistro lounge pours cocktails as the light drops over the sea.
Suites with a sauna
Each deluxe suite is a small retreat of its own. Behind reeded-glass partitions wait a private sauna and, in many, a plunge pool on the terrace, so the bathing ritual carries on in your own quarters long after the spa downstairs has settled into quiet for the night.

L'Esprit Des Thermes bathing ritual
The thermal pools run eleven in the morning until nine at night, arranged as a sequence of temperatures rather than one soak. Treatments start at eleven too, so take the first slot if you want the pools without anyone else in them; it's a surcharge on top of the room.
Dinner at Le GV
Le GV sits at the top of the building looking over the sea and took its first Michelin star within six months of opening. It serves Monday and Wednesday to Saturday, dinner only, seven until eleven — a Tuesday or Sunday points you to the champagne bar downstairs instead.
L'étoile, the rooftop pool
Nine floors up, the pool at L'étoile opens for the warmer months only — swimming, sunbathing, a drink in the afternoon sky. The beach club, 1926 La Plage, keeps its own seasonal hours from the first of May to the end of October, half nine to half five, weather permitting.
Le Monde, the champagne bar
On the ground floor, Le Monde pours from seven in the evening until eleven — a stop on the way to or from dinner rather than an evening on its own. A fair way to close a day that started in the thermal pools.
